Our Program

Southwestern Volleyball Club is a competitive volleyball club whose main goal is to bring high quality volleyball instruction to athletes located in Southwestern New York State. Southwestern Volleyball Club focuses on individual instruction.

Practice: Please refer to the practice tab for information on how our practices will be run.  Practice is where you grow as a player. Practices will focus on individual skills as well as team play.

Teams: As of right now, we are looking at having two or three different teams. We are limited by space as to how many teams we can have. As of now, we have a 14s team and a 17s team listed but tryouts are open to all age groups. We will not be able to finalize our teams and rosters until after tryouts.

Tournaments: Each team will attend 3-5 tournaments during the club season. Most of the tournaments will take place in Buffalo or Rochester and are typically one or two day events. Our philosophy on tournament play is to compete by playing athletes who give our team the best chance of winning. Playing time at tournaments is not guaranteed.

Coaches: SWVBC is currently searching out coaches from local high school and college teams. Coaches will have gone through a USAV background check and will be trained by master coach Scott Brown. SWVBC will supply clear and consistent coaching to its athletes.

Cost: We will be charging $500 for our season which will run from December - May.  An additional $60 membership fee is also required by USA Volleyball.  The cost of our program covers player uniforms for all players, a practice tee shirt for all players, a volleyball for all players, tournament entry fees, equipment for our club, rental fees for facilities, and coaching stipends. Spirit wear, travel, and any over night accommodations will not be covered by the club.
